Affiliate Disclosure

Who we are

Overland Journey (overlandjourney.com) is an independent information site about overland and backcountry driving adventures. It is run by Local Business Assist LLC. We are not owned by Amazon or by any land manager, gear brand, or map provider we write about.

Amazon Associates

Overland Journey is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and related sites.

Some links on this site are Amazon affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

What that means for you

Commissions help pay for research and hosting. They do not change the price you pay. They do not decide which routes we publish or how we label safety and verification.

Prices, stock, shipping, and product details are set by Amazon (or the seller on Amazon), not by us. They change often. Always confirm the current price and terms on Amazon before you buy.

How we mark affiliate links

Where we use an Amazon affiliate link, we disclose it on the page (for example in a tips section) and/or with this sitewide disclosure. Affiliate links use rel="nofollow sponsored" and open in a new tab when we control the HTML.
