Overland Journey is an independent information site about overland and backcountry driving adventures. We are not a guide service, tour operator, or booking company. We do not sell travel packages or take payments for trips. Land access, road conditions, and recreation rules are set by land managers and change over time.

Route information and safety

Trip pages summarize public sources such as BLM and tourism materials. They are not a substitute for official maps, Motor Vehicle Use Maps, permits, or current closure notices. A line on a map is not a guarantee that a road is open or passable. You are responsible for your vehicle, skills, weather decisions, and compliance with all laws and land-use rules.
