Who we are

Overland Journey (overlandjourney.com) is an independent information website run by Local Business Assist LLC. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Local Business Assist LLC. "You" means anyone who visits the site.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what information we collect when you use this site, how we use it and the choices you have. It does not cover the websites of companies we link to. They have their own privacy policies.

Information you give us

If you use our contact form, we collect the details you type in: your name, email address, phone number if you choose to give it, your message and your consent to be contacted. The form is built on HighLevel (GoHighLevel), the software that runs this website, so your message is stored in our HighLevel account and sent to us by email notification.

We use these details only to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask to join one.

Information collected automatically

We may use an analytics service, such as Google Analytics, to count visits and see which pages people read. If we do, it may set cookies and collect data such as pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and the site that sent you here. We would use this only to understand and improve the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Like most websites, our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the time of each request, for security and to keep the site running.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use them for the site to work properly and, if enabled, for analytics. Companies we link to, including Amazon when you follow an affiliate link, may set their own cookies when you click through, so they can tell that you came from us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Affiliate links

Some links on Overland Journey are Amazon affiliate links (tag lba0fb-20). If you click one and buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. When you click, Amazon may record that the visit came from us, usually with a cookie or a tracking code in the link. We do not receive your payment or card details. What you share with Amazon is covered by its privacy policy, not this one.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the services that run this site and its forms (HighLevel), our analytics provider if one is connected, and when the law requires it. We do not sell or rent your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form messages for as long as we need them to answer you and keep a record of the conversation, and then delete them. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of the analytics service.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Send the request through our contact form at /contact. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law, and we will honor them.

Children

This site is for adults planning travel. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, tell us through the contact form and we will delete it.

Security

We use reputable service providers and reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send payment details or other sensitive information through our contact form.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
